7:40-8:00 a.m. .........................................Breakfast is served 8:00 a.m. ...................................................Instruction begins 3:00 p.m. ...................................................School is dismissed 3:15 p.m………...All students must be picked up by this time. |

TARDY POLICY
Our school day begins at 8:00 a.m. All parents and students should understand the importance of punctuality. Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. will be considered tardy. Students arriving after 8:00 must report to the office. A written “excuse” from a medical doctor or dentist, or late bus arrival are the only “excused” reasons for being tardy. When 10 tardies are accumulated, recess detention will be incurred. |

ATTENDANCE
All students must attend at least 160 days out of 180 school days in order to be promoted. No more than 20 unexcused absences are allowed. Doctor’s statements, religious holidays, or death of an immediate family member will excuse a student’s absence. The Doctor’s statement must be submitted within 2 days after the student returns to school. Notes from parents will only allow students to make up work missed during absences due to illness. Any child who leaves school during the day must be checked out properly through the office.
TRUANCY POLICY
A report shall be furnished each semester by the Attendance Department to the superintendent who will report by school to the board on the number of students who have accumulated 15 days of unexcused absences and the action taken on each student. A copy of the report will be provided to the Juvenile Court for Caddo Parish. |

Students should not be brought to school before 7:30 a.m. There will be no one to supervise them before this time. Walkers who do not eat breakfast should not come to school before 7:50 a.m. There are no check-outs after 2:30. |
