Shreveport, LA - Services were conducted Friday, December 5, 1997 at 2:30 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Wilma J. Copple. Rev. David Worthington, Minister of Music at Trinity Heights Baptist Church, officiated and interment was at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Copple was born December 3, 1921 in Durant, Oklahoma and entered into rest Wednesday, December 3, 1997 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center, West Monroe, LA. She had been a resident of the Shreveport area for nearly 60 years and was a longtime member of Trinity Heights Baptist church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the 39ers Club. Since moving to West Monroe she had become a member of Cedar Crest Baptist Church. Mrs. Copple was a loving Christian mother and friend.

Survivors include her son: Dennis Copple and wife, Louise, of Shreveport; daughter, Evelyn Hogan and husband, Charles of West Monroe; four grandchildren: Lisa Hogan Davidson, Charles R. "Chuck" Hogan, Jr., Rhonda Copple, Paula Copple Stilley; four great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

Pallbearers were Charles R. Hogan, Jr., Eddie Joe Davidson, Eddie Joe Davidson Jr., and Greg Stilley.
