Mangham, LA - Services for Powell F. Brunson, 89 of Mangham, LA, was at 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 5, 1997 at Lone Cherry Baptist church with Rev. Doyle Adams, Rev. J. W. Allen and Rev. Richard Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Lone Cherry Cemetery.

Mr. Brunson died Wednesday, December 3, 1997 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was a Deacon of the Long Cherry Baptist Church. He served as the teacher of the Adult Men's Sunday School Class for 20 years. He was a member of the Mangham Masonic Lodge. He was a Shriner and a Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife: Lannie Brunson of Mangham; one son and daughter-in-law: Dan M. and Jan Brunson, Sr., of Quitman; four grandchildren: Dan Brunson, Jr., and wife, Paula, of Mermel, TX; Michael Lancaster and wife, Amy, of West Monroe; Randell Lancaster of Quitman, Nicole Accard and husband, Ryan of West Monroe, and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Mercer, Pate Mercer, Claude Mercer, J. W. Mercer, Gary Williams,and Joel Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Deacons of the Lone Cherry Baptist Church and Prentice Jones.
