BASKIN. Services for Jackie Ray Templeton, 61, of Baskin, will be at
2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 1997 at Baskin Baptist Church with Rev.
Shane Duke and Rev. Virgil Jones officiating. Interment will be in Gwin
Cemetery in Mangham under the direction of Riser First National Funeral
Home in Winnsboro. Mr. Templeton died Thursday, November 20, 1997 at his
residence. Mr. Templeton worked for the State Highway Department for 37
years as a Specialty Engineer. His hobbies were playing dominoes with friends
and traveling. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Linnie Templeton,and
father, "Abe Templeton", a brother and sister, all of Mangham.
Survivors include his wife: Charline Templeton of Baskin; daughters: Lindy
Templeton Trichell of Waleska, GA, Carmen Templeton Harper of West Monroe,
Belinda Ann Templeton Weston of Meridian, MS; stepdaughters: Bridgette Reese
of Baskin, Candy Almeter of Melborne, FL; brothers: Jerry Templeton of San
Antonio, TX, Mitchell "Johnny" Templeton of Florida; sisters:
Elaine Templeton Duke of Columbia, LA, Peggy "Sissy" Templeton
Thompson of Winnsboro, Wanda Templeton Allen of Ruston, Helen Douciere Templeton
of Lake Charles, LA; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
