Services for Mr. John Marvin Long, 75, of Farmerville will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 1, 1998 at Crestview Baptist Church in Farmerville with Rev. Connie Ward, Rev. Waymond Warren and Rev. Wayne Whiteside officiating. Burial will be at Holmesville Cemetery near Downsville. Arrangements under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.

Mr. Long, a retired auro mechanic, died Sunday, August 30, 1998 after a l engthy illness. He was a WWII veteran and a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Janice Long; and one son: Dwight Long and wife, Candy Long, all of Farmerville; two daughters: Annelle Long of San Jose, CA; and Marta Cole and husband, Ken Cole of Monroe; two step-daughters: Kelly Staples and husband, Tim of Jonesboro, LA; and Angie Copeland and husband, Steve of Dubach, LA; two brothers: Jessie Long of Holmesville: Emmett Lucian Long of Ruston; and one sister: Octavia Bridges of Texas City, TX; grandchildren: Kari Franklin, Courtney Long, Josh Staples, Jessica Staples, Jordan Staples, Caleb Copeland, and Kelci Copeland.

Pallbearers will be J. C. Choat, Bryson Albritton, Shelby Rowland, J. M. Roberson, Doug Shaw, and Al Woods.

Visitation will be at the church from 9 A.M. till time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crestview Baptist Church.
