Services for Jerry A. Adams, Sr., 55 of Monroe was at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 1997 at Mulhearn Funeral Home chapel in West Monroe with Stan Fortenberry officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery in Calhoun, La.

Mr. Adams died December 1, 1997 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was retired from General Motors. He was a cattle farmer and horseman. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Elizabeth W. Adams of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry A., Jr. and Carrie Adams of West Monroe, son: William Allen Adams of West Monroe; step-daughters: Cindy McConnell, Cheryl McConnell both of Monroe, grandchildren: Jessie Brook Adams, Holly Bridgette Adams and Abby Elizabeth McConnell; mother: Mrs. Lula Mae Adams of Calhoun, brothers: Earl Adams, Jimmy Adams both of Calhoun, sisters: Mrs. Joy Detrick, Mrs. Gloria Futch, Mrs. Christine Caldwell all of West Monroe, LA.

Pallbearers were Daniel Edwards, David Tanner, Rod Fuqua, Ted Richards, Jr., Danny Zeagler and Rocky Lasyone. Honorary Pallbearers were Pete Bechnel, Ed Holley and Robert Martin.
