Helen Rushton of Accrington, England died Thursday November 6, 1997. Helen has been living in Monroe since 1980. She died a very peaceful death. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Monroe and was preceded in death by her husband Edward Hesketh Rushton. Survivors include her daughter Patricia & husband Sal Pitarro of Monroe, LA. Grandchildren Leslie & her husband Mike Beckstrom of Heidelberg, Germany, John & wife Michelle Beckstrom of Santa Maria, CA., and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday with a prayer service at 5 p.m. in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home on Sterlington Rd., Monroe. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church at 3706 Bon Aire Drive, Monroe, LA., with Rev. Walter Baer officiating.
