Services for Mr. Charles "C.W." Rader, age 81, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 1998 at First Baptist Church, Monroe. Officiating will be Dr. John Traylor and Rev. David Rader. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe.
Mr. Rader died Thursday, August 13, 1998 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Mr. Rader retired from Sears with over 22 years of service. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, Monroe. He was a Past Master of Western Star Lodge #24, a member of Barak Shrine Temple, Royal Arch Masons, and the Harry M. Lemert High 12 Club. Mr. Rader served in the U. S. Air Corps during WWII.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years: Frances Reitzell Rader, of Monroe; sons and daughters-in-law: Wayne and Nettie Rader, and Steve and Suzanne Rader; 3 grandchildren: David Rader, Jennifer Rader, Shannon Aldrich; 1 great-great grandchild: Landry Rader; brother: Harry Rader, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jay Ferringer, D. D. Thrift, Wayne, Barnhill, Billy roach, James Smith, Benny Hortman, Richard Church and Hollis Nelson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church, Monroe, Masons and retired Sears employees.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Kilpatrick's on Lamy Lane, Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 St. John St. Monroe, LA.
