BASTROP, LA - Services for Bennie Ray Manly, 63, of Bastrop, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 1997 at Golden Funeral Home, with Revs. Eugene Reynolds and Charles Dupree officiating. burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarks, LA, under direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Manly died Friday, November 21, 1997 at VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA.

Mr. Manly was retired from the Bastrop Inn Motel, was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, member of the VFW, and active with the Council on Aging.

Survivors include: his wife, Gladys Reynolds Manly; mother, Gladys Augustine of West Monroe; 2 sisters: Linda Melton of Arizona and Barbara Bayles of West Monroe; 2 brothers Zeigler of Kenner, LA and Phillip Ragland of Monroe, LA, and several step-grandchildren.
