Throughout her life, Patti was an amazingly caring person whose love was so intense that her family and friends felt truly blessed that she was part of their respective lives. Indeed, Patti was a true beacon for love. As a worker, whether it was working as part of the legal system in Monroe, the Hilti Corporation in Tulsa, or The Louisiana Center for the Blind, it would be hard to imagine she could offer any more than she did on a day-to-day basis. And, though she died at a relatively young age, all who knew her felt very deeply about how fortunate we were to have for as long as we did, whether that be as daughter, mother, wife, friend, or co-worker. There is a clear consensus among those of us who were blessed by Patti that she might just well be a butterfly flying from flower to flower in the gardens of heaven. Officiating will be Pastors Neil Everett, Terry Slawson and Werner Aswell. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Dennis James Ezell, 48, passed from this world to know peace with his Lord on January 1, 2007. Dennis was born on December 12, 1958 to Jimmy and Shelby Ezell of Slidell, Louisiana. He attended college at Louisiana College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then attended Northeast Louisiana University where he worked as a graduate assistant while earning his Masters in Biology and a Pharmacy degree. After graduation, Dennis chose to make his home in Calhoun, Louisiana. His joy in life was ministering to the needs of his family, friends, and neighbors within the community. His love and concern for the people he met soon made them like members of his family. Through his business, Price Right Pharmacy of Calhoun, he touched the lives of many with his compassionate care. Because of his generous nature, people who visited Price Right often left with fresh vegetables or a hug. They always left with a smile. Dennis served as a teacher and mentor to countless young people studying various forms of healthcare. Future pharmacists, nurses, and pharmacy technicians trained with Dennis before moving to the next level of practice. Helping them become their best was very important to Dennis. He enjoyed seeing the success of the students that he trained. Dennis coached kids of all ages through the West Ouachita Youth Basketball League at Seeker Springs and through the West Ouachita Little League Baseball Program. The kids will tell you that Mr. Dennis was their biggest fan and a positive role model. He loved them all like one of his own. Dennis ministered to this church family at First Baptist Calhoun as a Sunday school teacher and committee member on several church committees. He loved the Lord and shared his faith with others through First Baptist's FAITH visitation program. Dennis was a loving husband and father. He was a blessing to his family and a good friend to many. He will be greatly missed by the family and community who loved him.
