Lily White Circle
Cemetery
Off of Hwy. 165 N., turn right on Fairbanks road. There is
a cotton field on the left of the road, and nice homes on the
right. Just before crossing the bayou, there is a cotton field
on the left, with a dirt road the farmers use to get to the field.
There is a narrow strip of woods on the right. Turn onto this
road and in 3 tenths of a mile, the headstones will be in the
woods on the right. This is private property, so please ask permission
before going to the cemetery.

Both have footstones with their surname on it, and both have
a side view of a striding lion, with it's mouth open on the top
of the headstone. Below the lion is a downward pointing triangle
with letters in each corner. Left to right, top to bottom: R,
G (or C), and F. In the center of the triangle is the number
09. There is one other headstone, made of concrete with no markings;
possibly a child's grave. There looked to be several other unmarked
graves in the area. Rubbings of the headstones were taken, and
are available for viewing in the Genealogy department of the Ouachita
Parish Public Library. Surveyed with permission from property
owners by Lora Peppers and Bob Powers September 9, 2000.
