Destin 2001

A 2000 Christmas gift - a trip to Destin, Florida in August 2001

Little did we know we would have to keep watch on Hurricane Barry to see if we would be able to go. Barry turned out to be not the hurricane everyone thought and we arrived at Jetty East as planned for our stay from August 6-11. We stayed on the first floor on the front corner of the building with a view of the jetty and a view of the gulf. This was Mother's first trip on a family vacation and we wanted her to be able to see both views. Jerry and I went to visit Laura in Seacrest after we ate at Picolo in Grayton Beach.
