 As many of the striping ILK, Joey grew up as an artistically gifted child, drawing wildlife and building model cars. To earn his spending money, he worked at his father's car lots and got bit by the striping bug watching the itinerant striper, "Mr. Buddy", that came around to do his father's cars. Joey stayed with his dad through High School and then some. Later he tried his hand as a Sales Manager for a GM dealership; good money but not much room for artistic expression.
This need for an artistic outlet, the desire to be his own boss, and the entrepreneurial self-confidence instilled in him by his dad convinced him to start Joey Hutson Artistry and be his own man. And so he remains to this day. Starting early, working late, and hitting the road on the weekends to ply his trade at automotive and motocycle shows around the country, Joey Hutson has combined his finely honed artistic talents with a rock solid work ethic to make himself a "Legend of Pinstriping".
