48. Archibald Fitzgerald was born about 1774 in VIRGINIA. He died after 1850 in Bradley Co, Tn. Born in Virginia, he moved to South Carolina, then to Georgia, then to
Tennessee, then to Indiana(1813/1814) but returned to Tennessee in 1823,
locating in Monroe Co and later in Bradley Co. Date and place of death is
unknown. Do not know how many times he was married but suspect at least
twice. In 1850 his wife was Carry _______?. Believe there were 13
children.

49. Caroline Carris was born about 1786 in Georgia. She died after 1850 in Bradley Co, Tn. Children were:

i. Anderson Fitzgerald was born about 1794 in Bradley Co, Ga. He died about 1864 in Mt Plesant, Tx (Titus Co).
ii. Aaron Fitzgerald was born about 1807 in Tennessee. ANTIOCH CHURCH, 1842-----., Ooltewah, Rt 2, Tenn-----------Organized on
Sept 3, 1842, by Rev Aaron Fitzgerald and 22 charter members:
iii. Asa Fitzgerald was born on 11 Oct 1809 in Duck River, Tn(Franklin Co). He died on 28 Aug 1898 in Apison, Tn (Bradley Co). Asa was a Baptist Minister in Southeastern Tenn & North Georgia(See
Sketch from "Baptist Pioneers of Tennessee").

Several of Asa sons fought on the Union side in the Civil War.
Archibald, Eli,
and Squire joined William Clift's outfit at Huntsville, Ala. John F. who
was
later county jailkeeper, was with Co B, First Tennessee Light Artillery.
iv. Arch Fitzgerald was born about 1814 in Indiana. He died after 1880 in Tarrant Co, Tx. Arch was a Baptist Minister in Southeastern Tenn & North Georgia. He
owned
slaves until the negroes were free then went to Texas and finally died in
the
poor house.

One of Arch's daughters married a Dr. R. B. Boyd and lived in Mexico near
Campeacha and another was Mrs Nannie Southerland of Dalton, Ga.

1880 Tarrant Co, Texas Census next door to brother Alfred, with him is his
granddaughter Evra Fitzgerald, age 9. Arch age is 66. Also with him is a
Robert Lewis, Farm Laborer age 32.
v. Elijah Fitzgerald was born on 13 Aug 1816 in Vanderberg Co, In. He died on 18 Nov 1873 in Apison, Tn (Bradley Co). Buried Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery near Apison, Tn (Bradley Co)
vi. Mary Fitzgerald was born about 1819 in Tennessee. She died about 1877 in Grapevine, Tx (Tarrant Co).
vii. Tabitha Fitzgerald was born after 1820.
