Here's where it all starts. To have your own place on the Web you've got to have your own address on the Web. Also known as your domain name. It's how people find you or your business. The three most common suffixes indicate commercial use (.com), network use (.net) or non-profit use (.org).

We will begin setting up your new domain name immediately after receiving your registration and payment information. Your domain name information will begin to be updated on Internet computers within 24 hours of registration, and will be recognized by computers all over the world within about 48 hours.

Renewing the registration for a domain name ensures that you can continue to use the name for your Web site and email. If you allow your registration to lapse, someone else could register the domain name and put it to use.
